The EX-SQR-3 intrinsically safe limiter works with SQUEALER and SQR controllers as a module protecting 3 inputs of MAX, OILER or SLUDO sensor. Required for installations in an explosive atmosphere, for example for oil separators.
Construction of the device
The EX-SQR-3 unit includes three EX-SQR modules placed in an IP65 hermetically sealed housing. The device has three channels allowing connection of three independent probes like MAX, OILER or SLUDO.
Installation and commissioning
The housing is mounted outside the SQUEALER / SQR controller, between the controller and the probes.
Connection should only be made with disconnected power supply.
Instructions for safe use
The device should be used in accordance with its intended use. Please read its instructions before installing. Its technical condition should be checked. Make sure that there is no mechanical damage. During maintenance work, the device must be disconnected from the power supply.
Controls and reviews
The manufacturer recommends inspecting the entire system every 6 months or during each emptying of the separator. During the inspection, clean the contacts and check for mechanical damage. Then test the operation of the probes in cooperation with the SQUEALER or SQR controller.
